You probably have to buy this for an African Culture class. It's kind of hard to get through because it's written in a telling style...kind of like the bible.: "And so and so did this, and someone else did that..." The problem is that, although the ideas were good, the personalities of the characters aren't explained or exemplified very well through actions. It would have been better if I knew what Okonkwo was thinking, hear his thoughts and see that he knows his weaknesses.
