Robert Jone's fairwell to Africa,
By Richard L. Rice (Madison, WI, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: African Twilight: The Story of a Hunter (Hardcover)
Robert Jones has brought together 30 years of experience as a writer, big game hunter, and student of African culture into this highly readable, well written book. His hunting stories are exciting, true life adventures of he and his PH, mentor, and friend, Bill Winters. Jones shows that he is foremost a writer as he "tweeks" the imagination of the reader in several accounts of an occult and mystical Africa. Finally, a lover of the African wilderness, he ends with the current state of affairs and predictions for the future of his beloved Africa.

A Fine Book,

This review is from: African Twilight: The Story of a Hunter (Hardcover)
Jones takes us along on his various trips to Africa and describes not only the hunting but the vast changes that occur to the land and its people. Jones writes quite well and his stories make for fine reading. If you enjoy reading about Africa and/or hunting, you will very likely enjoy this book.
