Wonderful book on a simply amazing bicycle trek. Pictures were stunners. This man has biked from the polar regions to Tierra del Fuego, circumnavigated the globe, of which the journey across Russia was but a part, and biked the length of the African continent. Incredible feats, hardships and adventures.

This is an interesting story, probably geared for junior high students but this reader enjoyed it too Very good book.

Definitely written for the young. Abbreviated telling of his tale gives just a hint of the whole story. Buettner is reckless with life and limb and willing to suffer truly untold physical suffering. Grit, determination, and good fundraising allow him to make this arduous journey. Could stimulate young reading to learn more about the continent.
