Well what can I say about the Afrigo band. The first time I attended there live show was sometime in March 2000 and this was after some co-ercion from some friend of mine(this was because everyone who knows me well is well aware of my distaste for live shows most especially in Uganda my native country where the instruments are usually lacking in music quality). But that saturday night my perception about live bands and concerts changed after watching four and half hours of so much entertaining music that I vowed to buy their audio tape the following week. The interesting about this night was that not anyone was left on there seats something that is not a characteristic of ugandans who are usually laid - back . So, since then I really have high regard for these guys - Afrigo band. If you ever get a chance to attend there live shows go for it as theirs has a unique treat. Now yesterday as i was talking to a friend of mine, he told me that Afrigo band had released a CD. So i told him that can only be proven by surfing the Amazon.com website as from experience I 've come to learn that if you can't get any CD, Video tape or book from this website, then you can't get it anywhere else moreso when you are in a country like uganda. So, for the rest my recent order tells it all as I found out they had the Afrigo band CD in stock.

Afrigo is Uganda. Steamed matooke in banana leaf with a big Nile Special, the red clay, waragi at home with the elders, the most beautiful women in the world, the lake flies swarming around Lake Victoria...just as Lucky Dube has taken on the Caribbean reggae beat and brought it home to Africa, Afrigo has brought the four-step rumba back to the Rift Valley, where Man first made music...there is nothing like Uganda, there is nothing like Afrigo. Get ready to rumba.

Uganda should admit it that it will not exist without Afrigo Batuuse. I'm saying this because I know the fact that this group have been pumping my heart for such a long time.

I am Afrigo's baby, and I will always love them as long as I live.
