I used this when I was really stuffed up from a bad head cold. It works in minutes and lasts the full 12 hours. No need to suffer with a stuffed up nose and sinuses with this product. It is a must have in my medicine cabinet. Allows you to breathe without the side effects.

All this morning into early afternoon I was so congested to the point where it didn't matter how many times I blew my nose. I seriously think I tried blowing my nose 50 times throughout earlier today (no exaggeration) and still I felt immense pressure from my sinus congestion. I have a neti pot, so I tried using that 3 times, but I was so congested that the neti pot failed to flow out the other nostril and instead went down my throat, causing me to spit up a ton of water, which didn't help my nose at all. It just caused a big mess. I also tried taking allergy medication to relieve my sinuses, but that didn't help either. Normally it does help, but not today!

It's allergy season, so it could be allergies or it may also be a cold. I can't always tell the difference, but what's great about this nasal spray is that it works for both colds and allergies, so I didn't have to worry about that at all. Anyway, to get to the point here, I was so angry by the end of the day after the neti pot, blowing my nose, and OTC allergy meds failed to relieve the pressure build up in the far back of my nose.

So I got on Amazon for about 2 minutes, looked up what people said were the best nasal spray for severe congestion (which obviously was this one) and ran down to the store to grab myself some. I came home, ripped open the box, sprayed it into each nostril, and immediately began to feel relief!! It felt like menthol going into my nose. I was worried it wouldn't work as well because I was so severely congested, but somehow the spray managed to break through all the mucous build up and relieved me of all the pressure!

To be safe I decided not to blow my nose for a few minutes after use. I don't know if that is necessary, but I chose to do this just to be safe. Even when I did finally blow my nose I can still feel the menthol from the spray, so I know it is still working.

Overall, I knew this stuff would be good, but I didn't realize it was THIS good! Thank you to all the positive reviews that made me run to the store to grab this product!

I have chronic nasal congestion plus a deviated septum and this is the only nasal spray that works for me (and works immediately)when I'm all stuffed up and feel like I can't breathe! Although I probably do use it more often than suggested, possibly 2-3 x a week, I know its relief I can count on.
I'm sure they are right when they say it can cause dependence if you use it for too long, or too often. I insist on having it around for those really stuffy days/nights when nothing else seems to work!

I have been using this product for years, and it really works. I had the same problem as some other people with it rebounding my allergies, requiring me to use it more frequently, but then I started diluting it with 2/3 saline and I stopped having the problem. I think it may just be too strong, which causes the rebound, but ever since I diluted it I only need it once a day and it works great.

This is a product that I can count on - I have sleep apnea, and it's necessary for me to be able to breathe through my nose for it to work. With this product, I know that it will clear the way without making me feel drowsy, and without causing me any pain or discomfort.

I had severe congestion due to a cold (worse congestion I think I've ever had). Friend told me to try this Afrin for severe congestion. I was desperate enough at that point to try anything. Wow. Could not believe how quickly and completely it worked! I think the fact that it is for "severe congestion" is what makes it stronger than most. Whatever, doesn't really matter why. It was a lifesaver.

This will clear you out quick, if you have sinus congestion. This is a strong product and thats why its called severe congestion. I read a review that says not to buy it because it stings,, this is not a standard nasal spray. This is severe congestion spray, I had a bad case of the flu and this helped me get through that. It goes to work on the congestion, and make sure you have your Kleenex handy because your going to need it. The pump spray bottle is the only way to go with this extra strengh spray,,one shot per side and no unpleasent surprises. I buy this here for convenience and price. I dont like shopping and the amazon subscrition option works for me.

I have used this product before but this is my first time to buy it on Amazon. I like the ease of ordering and the price is very good compared to local purchasing.

I can't live without this product. I've been addicted for the last 2 years and I honestly can't breathe without using it. Works like a charm at alleviating congestion and stuffy noses.

Afrin has helped me tremendously whenever I have had a cold. I know all the warnings to the product so when I am sick I definitely try to only use it once a day but wow does it work well and it works immediately! I have never felt a dependence to this product after I am done being sick but that is obviously something people should watch out for when using this medicine. When I am congested I will only use it at night before bed so I can get to sleep comfortably and then I will use a different congestion medicine throughout the day. I find this way I am only using it when it will help me the most because getting rest is a crucial part of getting better. I would not recommend using this as a daily allergy medicine. It does NOT cure, prevent, or fight nasal congestion; it just gives you temporary relief. All in all it truly is an amazing decongestant and can give you relief in as little as 2 minutes but make sure you use it only as directed.
