3.0 out of 5 stars A Textbook that's interesting, April 24, 2000
By A Customer
I had to buy this book for a course I'm taking that is taught by the author. I was surprised. The book is really interesting and gives good, first-hand accounts of African-American religious history. The book includes testimonies from slaves, missionaries, preachers, etc. I would definately recommend this book to anyone who is interested in finding out more about Afro-American history and religion. Also I would look at Sernett's more recent books they're also good.
