"Dub"ble Your Pleasure, June 16, 2000

Most devotees of "World Music" are familiar with the Reggae sounds coming out of Jamaica. Unfortunately, their experience usually begins and ends with Bob Marley. Then there is "Dub". Dub is when an audio artist takes a given musical track and performs radical remixing surgery. It really has to be experienced in order to appreciate it fully. "Afrocentric Dub" is a good place to start. It has good a good beat and you can dance to it. Well, not really dance, more like sway in time to the beat. This is one of the "Mad Professor's" more accessible recordings. There is a whole new world out there.
