This review is from: Afrocentric Theory and Application: Advances in the Adolescent Rite of Passage (Paperback)
This is probably the best rites of passage book written in the U.S. Indepedent publishing is the only reason that more people don't know about it and own it. The writing is precise, the research is exhaustive, the methodology is contemporary and traditional and the exercises are grassroots. This is the one. Unforunately I see that booksellers are again trying to get us to pay 5 times the retail price to own a used copy. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
