If you are new to Don Morrell, where have you been? Talk about some HEAVY HITTERS. This album was a Gift filled with memories and melodies. What a nugget. Best gift I have received in ages. David Michael Hossley Producer/Consultant

This CD is a perfect example of true Americana. Don has that "sound" captured. The production is outstanding! I can't wait to see the next Morrell project.

I heard "I Turned My Back" on the radio and ordered the CD. After it arrived, I listened to it a few times and it's kept growing on me. I especially listen to "Roadside Cross". It's such a haunting song. I too lost someone I loved in a tragic accident. I hope Don makes more CDs like this.

I really like the guitar sounds. I especially liked the song "A Small Part". Don, your wife is a great singer! Did you find her in Nashville?

I'm really enjoying this record. I play it all the way through at least once a day. All the songs are solid and well crafted and just twangy enough to be cool, not country. Love songs, story songs and NO FILLER. I prefer it to Kim Richey's new record. (She cowrote the title song with Don).

My only dissapointment is that With Bateman in there, I expected the drums to slam harder. But that's my only complaint.

I met him in Nashville. He helped me get onto some writers shows. I didn't know he made records! This is like a John Hiatt or a Bottlerockets record. Almost all great songs and REALLY cool guitars! And his wife sings great!!!
