From the Author

About this series: A reader fan recently set up a blog dedicated to casting the actors for the War of the Fae movie.  No, it is not in production to be made into a movie, nor have I sold the rights to anyone for the movie.  But just in case I ever do, my fans will be sure the casting director has a complete line-up ready!  Check it out:  bit.ly/WOTFmovie

A must read for all you Elle Casey and War of the Fae fans! O.M.G.! Elle does not disappoint and for that I THANK YOU! A few new characters to keep you on your toes and the constant attitude from Jayne that we love. Oh and we cannot forget Tim our favorite and most handsome pixie of all time. His antics kept me chuckling so much my 3 year old was like, "Mommy, what is so funny?!" Downloaded the book in the afternoon, stayed up past midnight reading and finished it the next evening - so well-written and leaving me wanting more. The ever-loving Elle Casey way of wanting you to get her to hurry up and write more! She leaves me salivating for more information on this sexiness that is Beau and what is up with Willy and his antics and Jayne's nose?! Seriously, you have to read this book. ;) Elle Casey, I could just HUG you Jayne Sparks style!

After obsessing over the War of the Fae series, the release of Clash of the Otherworlds was at the top of my to-read pile. As I've stated in my previous reviews of Elle Casey's work, Jayne is one of my all-time FAVORITE heroines, and when you have cast-mates like Tim the Pixie, his son Willie, and sexy-moody Ben, it makes for a great time!

*Some SPOILERS from the War of the Fae series*

After the Fall continues directly after the union between Dark and Light Fae. After losing Chase, Jayne is having a tough time coming to terms with her new maybe-romance-maybe-friendship-maybe-nothing relationship with Ben and is constantly comparing her future to her past, which, lets face it, we all do.

The Light and Dark Fae begin moving into a single compound and sharing the same living quarters, classes, and lunch room doesn't seem to be a problem...combining leadership however? Not so much. Jayne isn't feeling the love from the new counsel members, so when problems arise, she attempts to solve them on her own...mostly.

Favorite Parts:

Tim. Always Tim. Hilarious, awkward, and the best of the best of friends.

The Mother and Father room placement. I can just picture these two opposites coming together to form a whole...fire and ice, moon and sun, stillness and life. Love it.

Spider-nakey. FTW.

Overall, this story is a MUST READ! And although I believe that you should continue reading the first in the War of the Fae series, it is possible to pick up After the Fall and not be completely lost. However, I think that this book shows the reflective side of Jayne. She is really just healing from the loss of her mother and man/angel that she loved, so be aware that there's a lot more spunk to come. :)

Thank you, Elle, for a another 5 Star read! And I can't wait to read Clash of the Otherworlds: Between the Realms out NOW!

So I tried to take my time reading this book because this has been such a great series to read and I want to savor every every juicy detail and pixie fart. So that didn't happen because Ms. Casey keeps you hooked from the first sentence. I laughed, cried, giggled at pixie humor, and just could not put this book down. The characters are wonderful and it was great to get to know the expanded fae family. Great storyline and i definitely want to continue reading to the end of the series. I just don't know what us readers will do without a story this unique and such fantastic characters. I literally cannot wait for the next one!

After reading the previous adventures of the changelings and Jayne; I just didn't have the same feeling after finishing this book. It felt like more of a filler than an actual book. In a way, I would have preferred this book be combined with the next in the series. That being said, I enjoyed this book as sort of a semi "reunion" of all the old characters. It was like seeing all the stars of an old favorite sitcom back together again.

Though I felt Jayne's attitude toward Ben was very understandable I was looking forward to more interaction between the two. There were some but I felt the amount was vastly understated. These are two people who are basically "married" but I think it would have been a kick to see them thrown together; having to figure each other out. I have to admit that I'm still Team Chase and that's probably because that relationship had the chance to be flushed out a lot more. Ben was the villain and was suddenly thrown at us like a game of surprise hot-potato as a "romantic" interest.

This book was more slapstick with a lot of comedic situations that made me chuckle and Tim and his kid seemed to steal the show. I just wished it had the pace of the other books.

My other problem with this was how Jayne became even more self centered and how even less focus there were on the other characters. My last gripe is the lack of finess with the cliffhanger. A good ending wrap up that leads the reader into the next book of the series is so much more powererful and preferable than an abrupt cut off. However, that's just my opinion.

Overall, this was a good prep for the next in the series. I would still recomend this book. Push through the profanity and the hint of threesome sex and it is quite entertaining...just keep this book away from anyone under eighteen!

Seriously.. I love Elle Casey's writing! After the Fall is a wonderful start to this series. It still has my favouite characters and I still laughed my ass off! Jayne is the most kick ass heroine I've ever read. She is impulsive to a fault and often has to learn the hard way but she tries! But one thing is for sure.. NO ONE will give her any shit! I just purchased the second book, and am rushing to write this review so I can see what's going on. I miss Chase, but can't wait to see how Jayne and Ben's relationship forms from here.

I would HIGHLY recommend this book as well as the previous series.. War of the Fae. They are highly entertaining, enthralling, magical, and a literal riot!
