Mournfully realistic,

This book deals with death and the aftermath that comes with it. A great book to read to students before a loved one passes away and it also challenges children to step-up if needed. Don't even think about not putting this in your shopping cart cause it is a must-have for any bookshelf!

I hightly recommend this book. It is a great way of explaining death to children. Illustrations are in B&W and book has an inexpensive look but message is clear and simple for children to understand. One of the best I've found. Very straightforward discussion and explanations. I re-purchased this book after leanding out first copy I never got back. I'm a school counselor. I also think Why Dinosaurs Die is a fantastic book by Marc Brown. These are both books I turn to over and over for use with young children.
