5.0 out of 5 stars Love strikes when you least expect it!, March 17, 1999
This review is from: After Hours (Arabesque) (Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed After Hours. Nachelle could be hardnosed, but soft. She knew what she wanted and how to get it. And then Steven comes along and she, at first, doesn't know how to categorize him. Will he be friend, or foe? Well, the attraction between them is so powerful that getting physical with the enemy isn't at all an unpleasant prospect! Ms. Larence is a good writer, and I hope to see many more books by her in the future. Bravo, Anna.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a man that Steven DuCloux!, November 6, 2000
This review is from: After Hours (Arabesque) (Paperback)
Sometimes you should not do certain things in an office building, you never know who is watching! This was my first book by Larence and I instantly became a big fan. I really liked her writing style and the way the different characters interacted with each other. After Hours was a very enjoyable reading experience about a very independent women with other things on her mind than to give someone like Steven DuCloux, who is so demanding, the time of day. But Steven had a whole lot on his mind including getting a certain women that has cought his attention to be his wife. Please go out and get yourself a copy. Much love Larence!

4.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss this one!, June 29, 1998

This review is from: After Hours (Arabesque) (Paperback)
I loved this book! It shows us that African American women can fall love without all the angst that is usually associated with us. Steven sounds like the kind of man that is the star of a lot of women's fantasies. Anna Larence should keep up the good work. I am looking forward to more of her books!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes You Have To Let the Wall Down, May 12, 1998
This review is from: After Hours (Arabesque) (Paperback)
This book lets you know that even though you might end up with a broken heart, one day there is someone around who will be able to put it back together!! I have to admit that eventhough Harlan was a "butthead" I kinda wished that more was written about his murder. And just what is Nathaniel's trip? I enjoyed this book very much.
