5.0 out of 5 stars A delight as usual, July 11, 2000
This review is from: After Hours: Forward To Scotland's Past (Audio CD)
"Those guys are socialists, aren't they?" asked my friend while listening to this CD. Actually, populists and Scottish separatists hits the mark better, as in "I Am the Common Man." But who can put a bouncy tune over better than BB in the great sing-along "After Hours"? "The Boar and the Fox" is a grim retelling of Scottish mayhem, betrayal and murder---the usual--while "Bad Moon Rising" demonstrates that bagpipes ROCK. Songs on this CD range from the tender "Snows of Holland" to the romantic "Green Plaid" with plenty of instrumental reels and jigs.
