5.0 out of 5 stars After School Nightmare, May 19, 2007
By
This review is from: After School Nightmare Volume 3 (Paperback)
I was so happy when I got my copy from the Go! Comi store last week. I read it all as soon as I got back home and I was never disappointed. This volume focuses more on Mashiru and Sou's relationship. It seems that Mashiru finally began to realize his/her feelings for Sou. The chemistry between the two is so obvious and you cannot even deny the physical attraction.

The good thing about this title is that it makes you think and analyze. For example, I know that each and everyone of us wants to know who the Knight is. Of course, we all have our own assumptions but we won't know for sure till its true identity is revealed. This will make you even more anxious to know what is going to happen next.

I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation again for the Go! Team for their hard work. I am supporting Go! all the way and I even decided to get all their books from the Go! Store.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Series is Fantastic, April 27, 2007
This review is from: After School Nightmare Volume 3 (Paperback)
Wow. Just wow. It's been so long since a manga series got me this excited. Volume 3 was fantastic, and I'm now going crazy with anticipation for volume 4. This mangaka has a visual style and an intricate, innovative, and smooth storytelling style that others should aspire to. She has perfect pacing. The characters react and respond to their situations. First the shocked face, then the head turned down, thinking about it. We're drawn in. We're thinking about it too. A lessor writer would be sticking in the character's thoughts everywhere. This mangaka knows how to bring across the nuances of the characters thoughts and emotions with the artwork alone. And the premise is original. Not just having a hermaphrodite main character, but the dream storyline. This is great stuff! Let's have more like this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Action, April 26, 2007
This review is from: After School Nightmare Volume 3 (Paperback)
*Spoilers Warning* (nothing that would ruin the story, but i should warn you anyway)

The first two titles in this manga series were mostly focused on the romance between Mashiro Ichijo and Sou Mizuhashi. The third title however, focuses more on the relationship between Mashiro and Fujishima Kureha and the dreams the different students are having. The mystery as to what is after graduation is revieled a little bit, as we witness Mashiro's own personal dream. If you are looking for a heated continuation of the Sou/Mashiro romance then you will be a little dissapointed as the extreme hatred Ichijo feels towards Sou starts to ebb away, being replaced by a new emotion (love?).

All in all, if you were wondering where the action of this manga went, you will be delighted to find it in Volume three, if you read this book just for the relationship between Sou/Mashiro, i would suggest going to a bookstore and skimming over the pages before you decide to purchase it.
