This review is from: After Southern Modernism: Fiction of the Contemporary South (Paperback)
I bought this book for a graduate class on 20th century Southern American literature. This book was meant to serve as a supplement to many of the books we read in class, but I found the essays in the book to be just so-so. It didn't help further my understanding of the genre or the specific texts in the class, and had it not been assigned reading I don't think it is the kind of thing I would have picked up on my own.
