Book Description

Summer Boys April 18, 2008
As the leaves turn golden, everyone's favorite beach girls are dealing with romantic dramas in their respective hometowns. Tomboy Beth is worried that her true love, George, is changing -- and not for the best. Meanwhile, naughty Ella meets a boy at school who is (gasp!) an even bigger flirt than she is. College girl Kelsi hates how her boyfriend treats her differently around his frat posse. And shy dreamer Jamie falls hard for a pompous trust fund boy at her posh boarding school. Everything comes to a head at an eventful Thanksgiving, and the four cousins come away wiser about life and love.

A Kid's Review
I thought the novel After Summer was a great book. I rate this book 5 stars because it kept me reading each night and i thought the book was a great girl book. The book had a lot of excitement in it and kept me reading each night. The characters in this novel were very good and i could relate to them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cotton Candy, December 3, 2008
By
Shelly (Delaware, USA) - See all my reviews
I must start out by saying this is not a good book, but I enjoyed reading it. In my opinion this, and the other 'Summer Boys' novels, is comparable to cotton candy. It is light fluffy and sweet but it will never fill you up. You might get tired of the taste, but for some reason you will just keep eating . . . er . . . reading. The romantic plot lines will certainly not sweep you away, but it is fun to watch how they unfold and you will find yourself enjoying the bumps and turns each girl experiences in her search for companionship. The dialogue is very "teenagery" and sometimes I found myself rolling my eyes when the characters spoke. Still, I have to admit this book was a guilty pleasure. It was wonderful to curl up on the sofa on a rainy day and simply enjoy an undemanding romantic story line without too much thought or drama involved.
