5.0 out of 5 stars After Summer
I thought the novel After Summer was a great book. I rate this book 5 stars because it kept me reading each night and i thought the book was a great girl book. The book had a lot of excitement in it and kept me reading each night. The characters in this novel were very good and i could relate to them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cotton Candy
I must start out by saying this is not a good book, but I enjoyed reading it. In my opinion this, and the other 'Summer Boys' novels, is comparable to cotton candy. It is light fluffy and sweet but it will never fill you up. You might get tired of the taste, but for some reason you will just keep eating . . . er . . . reading. I must start out by saying this is not a good book, but I enjoyed reading it. In my opinion this, and the other 'Summer Boys' novels, is comparable to cotton candy. It is light fluffy and sweet but it will never fill you up. You might get tired of the taste, but for some reason you will just keep eating . . . er . . . reading. The romantic plot lines will certainly not sweep you away, but it is fun to watch how they unfold and you will find yourself enjoying the bumps and turns each girl experiences in her search for companionship. The dialogue is very "teenagery" and sometimes I found myself rolling my eyes when the characters spoke. Still, I have to admit this book was a guilty pleasure. It was wonderful to curl up on the sofa on a rainy day and simply enjoy an undemanding romantic story line without too much thought or drama involved.

It took me a while to get into this book series, but the more I read the more I was hooked. These are really good books. Makes me want to move to the east coast.

4.0 out of 5 stars After Summer, December 20, 2006
I've loved the Summer Boys novels since I started reading them, but this one was a little more dissappointing to me compared to the others. Don't get me wrong, I loved it; yet, something about After Summer is different from the others. It could possibly be that the book doesn't take place at Pebble Beach, but I think it was mostly how some, espcially one in particular, of the relationships between the girls and their significant others panned out. I hope all is resolved in her next and final book, and that it feels less like I'm on roller coaster of ups and downs in the Tuttle girls' lives. I do agree with others who have said this book is too short. Hell, I like to take my time while reading a book and I finished this one in about 8 hours.

It's definatley worth reading, but, as I stated before, I hope everything is smoothed over in the next installment of the series. Honestly, who doesn't enjoy a happy ending?
