My husband and I have been married for just over a year now and have been on the look out for good books on communication and good marriage skills in a Christian environment. Too many books nowadays do not focus on God in the marriage which was important to us. This book 'After you say 'I do''was perfect for us. We don't like books which are too lengthy and are just talk, so we were pleased to find that this book has a mixture of stories, questions and anecdotes. The best things about this book are the number of different questions it asks, designed for both of you to answer and compare answers. It made us talk to each other about things which we may have not considered before. A well worth while book for all those couples who wish to cement their marriage and build foundations around God and each other!

This book is an excellent book that makes you go deep into your views and values in a relationship. It makes you looks at things from a Godly perspective ("Which is how marriage was originated in the first place"). The best thing is that you can't hide because if you write it down and then come together to review your answers, you can't change what has been written down. Just be honest with your spouse and yourself and you will see how things will change, or improve.

I love this book. Its a work book that I work on with my wife. We do each chapter everynight and we spend about an hour getting to know things about one another all over agin. There are things I forgot about her and this just reminded us why we fell in love. I highly recommend this book.

I would definitely encourage you to purchase two copies of this book, so that you and your spouse can work through the individual areas separately (when instructed), and then come back together to compare notes. If you only have one copy it sometimes can be hard to objectively rate how your spouse thinks/feels on a subject if you can see what they wrote because you're sharing the same book.

Let me also say that I have an extremely high level of respect for H. Norman Wright. I have purchased several of his books and workbooks in the past, and they are fantastic. They force you to ask the tough questions, and the only reason I don't still own this book is because it was extremely similar to another of Wright's very popular marriage books, Before You Say "I Do". My wife and I loved that book and we used it to augment our pre-marital counseling while courting (yes courting as opposed to dating). Although I had done a quick comparison online before I purchased it, it wasn't until I could compare the two books side by side that I realized it was very similar, but this one was themed to those who are already married.

I would highly recommend this book if you are currently married and want to improve your relationship with your spouse. His other, very similar book was fantastic and that is why I have given this product such a high rating, and I will stand behind it 100%.

Purchased this workbook for someone else. The couple seems to be receiving benefits from the exercises in the book.

This seller is supplying an out-of-date 1979 edition. Its' fine for personal use, but make sure you get the NEW edition (with a green cover) if you're doing a group study.
