Ok...so this EP only has 5 songs on it. SO WHAT? The songs are great (as usual). I must say these songs are a bit more mellow. The first track "Crashing the Afterglow" has an infectious rhythm to it. It's slow, but gradually gets loud and rockin' by the end. It reminds me of their other song "Crazymaker (I'm Still in Love With Your Eyes)" which is one of my favorites. Don't be discouraged to by this CD just because of its limited amount of tracks!

Three songs from this make my all-time playlist, so it's a buy, but . . . what's with the cover? Underage girl nudists??

Once again, Versus is able to capture the very essence of what indie-music is about. In the "Afterglow" ep, the band proves their competency in their ability to write unforgettable songs. This proves that you just can't buy any old Fender Mustang Guitar, vintage Twin-Reverb Amp, or analog delay pedal and expect to be a musician. Versus proves that they are real muscians.

"afterglow" is just another example of fine craftsmanship and pure pop hook laden melodies.i personally find versus one of the most inspiring bands i've ever heard. go see them live, you won't be dissapointed
