Comment: This book has already been well loved by someone else and that love shows. It MIGHT have highlighting, underlining, be missing a dust jacket, or SLIGHT water damage, but over-all itâ?TMs still a good book at a great price! (if it is supposed to contain a CD or access code, that may be missing)

I saw James and Andrew teach at Sur la Table last fall and I thought their recipes were delicious! I remain particularly smitten by the old-fashioned brownies (with frosting!) and the gingersnaps. There are several other typical cafe recipes in here--biscotti, some tasty scones, more cookies. There aren't a ton of recipes, but every one of them is for something you already know you love--no weirdos. The book is beautiful and the recipes work--what more could you ask for? Maybe someone to make the coffee.

I love the recipes in this book. This is my second purchase of the book. I gave my first copy to my sister. I was moving to another state and wanted to trim moving expenses. Eventually I decided to buy another copy. The recipes are easy and delicious. The pages are filled with information. It's an excellent choice to add to a cookbook collection, or to give as a gift.

I have had this book for years. I worried that there weren't a lot of recipes in it, but every one I have tried has been wonderful. I buy a lot of cook books and so many times I just make one or two things out of them. Not this book. I frequently go back to it. I have tried about half of them and have never been disappointed. The lemon bars and macaroons are my favorite.

The size of the book and the layouts and colors and photography are all very inviting. As far as the recipes, I can pull up better on the web. Nothing out of the ordinary....just "Plain Jane."
