5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book I was lucky to get and immediately loved.
I received this book through a mail order service and immediately fell in love with "George" and the good doctor. I always like older men/younger women stories and this is a gem. Dr. Mallory is a wonderful, kind, caring man who is absolutely besotted with "George" who is charming, beautiful and a model. She is looking for love and finds it in Dr...

3.0 out of 5 stars A good book, but author's no Fabio
Aftershocks is a pretty good book, but doesn't quite measure up to the romantic fiction currently being turned out by the masters of the genre, such as Fabio. For one thing, too much time is spent on the protagonist, not enough on the antagonist. And given that one of the characters is a 38 year old man, I think a more sensitive treatment of the subject of hair loss...

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book I was lucky to get and immediately loved., May 13, 1999

This review is from: Aftershocks (Mass Market Paperback)
I received this book through a mail order service and immediately fell in love with "George" and the good doctor. I always like older men/younger women stories and this is a gem. Dr. Mallory is a wonderful, kind, caring man who is absolutely besotted with "George" who is charming, beautiful and a model. She is looking for love and finds it in Dr. Mallory, even though he is plagued by guilt at their age difference. He is sure he is robbing her of her youth and experiences she is yet to have. She is sure she's in love. This book is funny, romantic, erotic and very hopeful for all of us that we can find a Dr. Mallory (though mine would have to be 58).

I couldn't write to Catherine Coulter fast enough to tell her how much I loved it. She was kind enough to write back and tell me that the book was actually out of print. I then realized how truly lucky I am to have it...then it was reissued. Such is life. I still feel blessed. Highly recommended for a marvelous happy, light read. I would love to see a series along the same vein, but I'm dreaming.

4.0 out of 5 stars A really fun & exciting read, August 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Aftershocks (Mass Market Paperback)
I think Catherine Coulter's Aftershocks is a good read. I read the whole thing in a matter of hours and I have read it through 2 more times since then! I think George and Elliot were great characters and I laughed with them got annoyed with them and felt like I knew them really well at the end. I would really recommend this book, although I didn't think much of Afterglow!! The follow on book. Although it was interesting to see how Elliot & George were getting on!!

5.0 out of 5 stars ONE OF HER BEST!!!, May 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Aftershocks (Mass Market Paperback)
Right From the beginning you have to love Georgina "George" Hathaway, and Elliot Mallory. This book kept me turning pages untill three in the morning when I finished it!! I'm probably one of her youngest fans (16), and found this book her second best. ("The Heir" being her first) So if you feel the need to sit back and enjoy one of the best books ever written, get this one and relax. You won't be able to put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars NEED HELP REVIEWS ARE NOT CORRECT, July 6, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Aftershocks (Mass Market Paperback)
I'm looking to buy one of these books afterglow or aftershocks but the reviews are messed up. Is this book about David and Chelsea or George and Elliot? Some of you need to check the title of your book before you review it.I gave it 5 stars because I like C.C.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good book, but author's no Fabio, August 13, 1998
This review is from: Aftershocks (Mass Market Paperback)
Aftershocks is a pretty good book, but doesn't quite measure up to the romantic fiction currently being turned out by the masters of the genre, such as Fabio. For one thing, too much time is spent on the protagonist, not enough on the antagonist. And given that one of the characters is a 38 year old man, I think a more sensitive treatment of the subject of hair loss would have been in order. Also, the book would have been more interesting if the protagonist had been a pirate or exiled prince or something more interesting.

3.0 out of 5 stars Right Place, Wrong Time, September 1, 2005
This review is from: Aftershocks (Mira) (Paperback)
When Dr. Elliot Mallory met Georgine "George" Hathaway, almost everything seemed to be right. They liked the same jokes, shared a love of sports, and the chemistry that drew them together was the most powerful he'd ever known.

But the one thing that was wrong was very wrong, at least in Elliot's mind: she was young and just beginning her career. If she tied herself to him now, she'd be cheated out of all that the future could hold.

But if he let her go, what would the future hold for him?

2.0 out of 5 stars catherine could have done better, August 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Aftershocks (Mass Market Paperback)
i don't hate this book... it's a book i would call in between.. itz just that itz not one of catherine's best.. the age between the two lovers was so huge, i was shocked.. the guy was like 16 when that girl was born... seriously.. wowee.. one advice to catherine in romance stories: never let the women be older than the men... and if the man is going to be older than the girl.. then please make not such a long period... thanks~!! i take much pleasure from reading your books~!!
