Book Description

From recess buddies to high school sweethearts, Eli Stone and Bonnie Jinks were constants in each other’s lives. Although young, their relationship had withstood the test of many teenage tribulations. Marriage and a happy ever after were in their future plans.

One alcohol fueled mistake rips them apart. Bonnie ends up on the road with her new boyfriend while Eli joins the military. It seems as if their lives would never intersect again.

A near fatal accident brings them together and their chemistry is undeniable. But will the pain of the past keep them apart? Can they make their love work again?

4.0 out of 5 stars I was sold right from the start! July 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
You can't imagine how hard it is to write a review for a book that you loved (or maybe you can, if you're anything like me). It's hard not to go all fan-girl and say everything and too much. I find it very hard to say just enough so you would be interested and not spoil it. It's my duty to make you love this book as much as I did.

I might have said it a million times before, but almost every book I read is extraordinary, something in the story makes them stand out. In Again, the palpable love and caring feelings between the characters is the feature that makes it stand out in the crowded population of NA books.
Not only does the story show the love between Bonnie and Eli, but also reveals the warm atmosphere the characters that surround them have. Both of their families care about Bonnie and Eli, none of them had hard feelings after the couple broke up.

Maybe they just weren't ready or mature enough to be serious about what they had, maybe the five years they were seperate made them understand that they can't live without the other. (Or maybe I'm reading between the lines, but oh well!)
I don't want to dish out on the characters, cause that would be a long list of how awesome they were. I'll just say that they, Bonnie, Eli and their families, are exquisite, loving and REAL.

Here, a little bit of my notes while I was reading Again:

This book has me right from the start. The progolue is enough for me to tell this book is going to be a great read.

The little snippets from Bonnie and Eli's loving relatioship before they broke up are so sweet and heartwarming, their feelings seem genuine and palpable.

Spoiler: Even the written scenes were Eli confessed him cheating on Bonnie were truly touching.

Contains mostly spoilers: The book starts with a quote about soul mates which is from the bible. We are told that they have been together 5 years. There is a romantic scene where he asks her to marry him. He tells her "Bonnie, I love you so much.....I don't want anyone else but you. Will you.." She cuts him exclaiming "yes". Then we are told it is 6 months later. Then H tells her that he cheated on her about a month ago, lying about spending the night at a friends house. He told her that he was drunk and woke up next to some "chick". During flashbacks we are suppose to see that it was all the OW fault, for being so pushy and determined to hook up with him. In fact, the OW he cheated with later becomes a whore who he arrests for prosecution. Obviously it was the whorish OW fault along with the evil alcohol. The h, being a dishrag, instantly forgives him, saying "Okay, well we....we can through this. Okay? Sh_t happens right? You always say that." Then he breaks up with her telling her "I need time to think." He gives her a piece of paper. It has several references to praying. Also states that they will be together again, she just has to be patient. That angered me. It was like he was telling her that she should wait around until he has a chance to screw around and then they could be together.

We are told that is heartbroken and impulsively hooks up with a rocker and leaves with him when he goes on tour. She dates the rocker for 5 years. Then she breaks up with him when mom is hurt and returns home. She sees H again, forgives him very easily and they end up sleeping together again, not long after that. While she is home she remembers the bad things about the rocker.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy, Sweet Read May 23, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a sweet romance novel that I wouldn't have a problem letting my daughter read. To put that in perspective, my daughter is 11.

The plot line is a good one, if underdeveloped. I felt no passion in any of the scenes; no anger, no angst, no fire. Even the sugary sweet love seemed like just words on the page.

that being said, it was not a bad book. If you're tired of the heartwrenching drama that is such a part of books these days, this is definitely a nice break. The story was well edited and easy to read.

This book was ah-mazing. This book is about two people falling in love and reconnecting later on in life. There is so much love flowing thru these pages. I would recommend this book to everyone!!!!!!

Also there are some good Ed Sheeran songs that the author picked in special moments of the book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not happy! July 19, 2013

Nice storyline with a lot of potential. I found the writing to be very boring. It turned potentially dynamic characters very, very bland. Very disappointed. This could have been good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read January 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Eli and Bonnie's story was one of young love and the mistakes that go along with young love. They break up go different paths in life to find a family tragedy six years later brings them back together. But sometimes love can survive all. It was a beautiful story of love and forgiveness. The characters were well developed and the storyline is well written. Highly recommend.
