Wow! I Love This!,

It packs a punch right out of the gate. I immediately thought of Evanescence. Mesmerizing and powerful.
Her voice also sounds like Zayra Alvarez' who was on the show "Rockstar Supernova" three years ago. Love it!

I do not like to reveiw music purchases, movie purchases and I certainly don't like to review downloads. If you didn't like the song in the first place why would you bother downloading it.

I really like Flyleaf and saw them in Albuquerque, NM. Unfortunately, the theater in which they played had horrific acoustics and all sounds above 1 kHz were drowned out. Vocals and guitars could not escape the bass and the drums. Despite the sound, the music was still played well.
Why does this matter? Because their self titled album had songs that were recognizable despite the terrible theater. The newer songs, however, blended together. This album seems a little more conservative than the first, and conservative is not necessarily a bad thing but it makes it not quite as good as the first. I do not have reviews on individual songs as it tends to become background music while I work on other things. This also contributes to my belief that something is missing. Unlike the self-titled which forced me to sing along with some of the lyrics, this is not as domineering. I would recommend it because it is good music, but I hope Flyleaf goes back the edge for their next CD.

If you're looking for some music that doesn't follow the cookie-cutter "pop-rock" sound, this is it! These guys rock and are not afraid to play music that doesn't sound generic and the same as everything else. This song is a good example of their sound and it's worth checking out. With a good strong blend of guitar mixed with some synth you can't go wrong. If you listen to the lyrics you may be pleasantly surprised by what you hear too. I highly recommend this band.

"Right where I want you to be again, see and believe...",

For any fan of Paramore, Fireflight, or Evanescence, Flyleaf will NOT dissapoint. I LOVE Flyleaf, especially because of Lacey Mosely's amazing testimony of her faith in Jesus Christ. Obviously, their songs are all about Him and living and walking in God.
this song has an awesome message. In my opinion, I think it's all about getting knocked down, broken, and almost running out of your faith and hope. And how sometimes God wants us in those positions to demonstrate His mighty power to and through us, and to make us believe again. Not only does this song have a great message, it has a powerful hard rock edge and Lacey's vocals are stunning as always! A great song, the other songs on the album are equally great as well. Happy listening!

For some reason this is under my to review list and so I will review it, even though I also reviewed the entire album.
I like this song and it is one of the songs I enjoy listening to from this album, Memento Mori. |
