The Mariah Carey version of "Against All Odds" is pretty good. The other featured songs on the CD are also nice. Warning to Westlife fans: If you're looking for the Mariah Carey/Westlife duet version of this single, this is NOT it.

"Against All odds" is the best single from Mariah in awhile! She does a great remake of phil collins song and adds her special touch to it! But mainly the best thing about this single is that it has some of my favorites off the "Rainbow" album! Besides "Against All odds" it has "Crybaby" A very good R and B song!, "Mariah's theme Can't take that away" which is a 4 minute morales club mix! and last but not least A "Thank god I found you" Stargate remix, which has a very pretty melodie to it, which makes the song that much better and that much stronger! So if you are a Mariah fan, or a fan of good singles you must order and buy mariah's imported single for "Against all odds"(take a look at me now) because I gurantee that you won't be disappointed!

This is one of the best singles i've bought. I absolutely love each and every song on this single. My favorite is the morales edit of cant take that away.

This is one of the best singles released off of "Rainbow" by far. It is a shame that it did not get much airplay on this side of the pond. A great buy for Mariah fans.

Mariah Carey, as we all know, usually writes her own material. Every now and then, of course, a really special, meaningful song, like Against All Odds, just can't be passed up. Mariah has stated that her album Rainbow is about all the different emotions she endured over the past couple of years before settling down to record this project. This song, in particular, sounds like it has something to do with the break up of her marriage to Sony Music CEO Tommy Mottola. I may be wrong, but the words and emotion Mariah sings with would definately lead one to think that this is what this song is about. The additional tracks, Cry baby (kind of annoying; too much vocal acrobatics), Thank God I found You -remix (same tempo as the orignal, accept that some different drums beats and chimes have been added), and Can't take that away -remix (very fast paced dance number; quite refreshing from the original version). For the most part, any Mariah fan would enjoy this import.

All tumbs up for Miss Carey for her tremendously and meticulous effort in putting all the songs together. 5 stars is not enough for me to express my appreciation for this album.

Mariah has done exceptionally well in this single and I must say I love it so so much, she has indeed done herself proud.

Against All Odds: A proud remake of Phil Collins classic, and I must say that Mariah has outshine Phil himself. And for the first time she is not over-expressing her vocal pyrotechnics.

Crybaby: Groovy and tangy R & B song, one of the best in the Rainbow album.

Thank God I Found You: This is definitely my fave, my all time fave, ever since "The Roof's Mobb Deep Extended Mix" I have not heard other better remix from Mariah, until I heard the "Stargate Radio Edit" (even the name stands out), I am completely drawn to this song again, and in my own opinion, I feel that this remix is better than the original one. And should actually replaced the cover version. This track is so outstanding that you can't miss it.

Can't Take That Away: After reading some of the reviews, I must agree that this song is one of those that does not actually need a remix, the lyrics is too 'strong' and too 'slow tempo' for a 'fast tempo' music. And unfortunately this remix is a flop, but the original version is great, and the lyrics is really really meaningful and inspiring.

No matter whether this CD is an EP or a single, I must say again its a sure 'must-buy' item for this season.

besides,the ctta morales remix proves that mariah is back on her heels to claim her no.1 spot. (most of us should know by now the reason that she is struggling to release her ctta single).this version is definetely better than ever!

The thing is that this against all odds single is not released as a single in the US. Anyway, this single should appeal to you, especially her fans (like me and you).

This is a good single, one of the best songs on Rainbow, which seems to have its high points and its low ones, this song on the album however, is a high point.

The single includes Against All Odds, Crybaby, Thank God I Found You (Stargate Mix) and Cant Take That Away (Morales Club Mix). All of which are great songs. Go out and get it, its worth the money.

Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now) is one of her best remakes. To be honest, I think it's only second to Without You on Music Box (1993).

Crybaby is an R&B classic in my eyes. Snoop and Mariah when in the studio do absolutely *no* wrong.

Lastly, Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme***) is one of Mariah's most heart-warming uplifting affairs. Very rare to see songs like this these days (2007 and beyond).

Mariah does have her own way of recreating a good ol' song. Phil Collins wrote a great song back in 1984 and Mariah revived it in 99'. This cd is a must have for any Mariah fan.
