5.0 out of 5 stars A triumph of the moral imagination, October 19, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Against Consolation (Paperback)
This is one of the most compelling books of poetry I've read in a long time. Robert Cording's work is an unrelenting exploration of what it means to be human. Cording's poetry has always aimed at writing psalms for our time: fittingly, he allows both faith and doubt their full scope. There is an intensity in these poems that does not let up for a moment:
everything is at stake in this rich and provocative book.
