The book is a very good set of short stories from the Orion's Arm universe, but you have to be a fan of the site and have read quite a a bit of it to really appreciate the underlying depth of the stories. I would recommend this title to anyone who is already familiar with Orion's Arm, otherwise I would suggest you visit the site and read some of its content first.

I've been reading science fiction for as long as I can remember, and this book certainly did not disappoint. I love authors that are able to explore new and interesting concepts, be it a society set in the distant future or aliens that are truly alien. And I can safely say that all five of the authors in this anthology are incredibly talented. Definitely pick it up!

"Against A Diamond Sky" is a creatively crafted collection of sci-fi stories, mingling the evolution of the Orion's Arm Project with moments of sheer imaginary genius. At times, it is almost impossible not to be drawn into the extraordinary places and situations the authors have composed; it will blow your mind." J. V. Haralovich

This author is, quite frankly, a terrible person. He has no respect for fellow authors and/or writers. I would never buy his work, knowing that I would be funding the life of such a harshly rude person.

I received this book as a gift, so really I shouldn't review it as a customer, but I just can't help it. This book was mind numbingly awful. I have a strict sense of honor when it comes to literature, so I forced myself to read all the way through, as a gesture of respect towards an author which might not deserve any. I've had terrible headaches and nightmares ever since that incident. Please, don't bring this on yourself. Just don't.
