5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent debut album!
I was very impressed with this debut album from The Veer Union. I had heard of them before via myspace and saw them in concert last February. When you compare this album to Nickelback's first album, it is amazing to think Nickelback got anywhere! So raw. But this album is very polished for a first album. The vocals are amazing. I love the harmonies as well. The...

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good
This bands first single really grabbed my attention but the album didn't hold it for too long. The Veer Union have a pretty good sound that is radio friendly and on first listen through the album in its entirety you'll probably like it. My only complaint is that they didn't do more songs like "Seasons." Which is a shame because that song is really good! All in all Veer...

I saw this band last Sunday and instantly knew I was going to buy the CD. These guys do NOT disappoint! I love each and every song on this CD and listen to it all the time. They are real down-to-earth guys who know how to make great music and will only get bigger! Buy this CD and you won't regret it!

1.0 out of 5 stars I've heard this before., July 2, 2010
This review is from: Against the Grain (Audio CD)
I've heard this before. I think they were called Nickel-Mudd-Cavo or maybe Hinder-Daughtry-Something? Either way they sound like every other lame band the record labels are pushing on us today. And to make it worse I think they recycled some Nelson to add to this one. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate Nickelback but I don't need 13 different clones of the same band. Let's try something new ok?

these guys are one of my favorite bands. i saw them opening for another band burn halo ( who is also awesome. check em out if u dont know) where i live in the bay area cali. i saw them 3 times in one week and started liking them more each time. ended up flying to middle of no where iowa to see them over a holiday weekend the next month (my bff had a friend out there she wanted to visit and so we scheduled our visit while they were at a tour stop there, don't think im a creeper or anything). these guys are great live too and are really down to earth and appreciative of their fans as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent CD from start to finish!, October 20, 2010

I hadn't heard of this group until yesterday on YouTube. I stumbled upon one of their songs and it immediately grabbed me. I then checked all the songs available from "Against the Grain" and was awestruck at how good they were and jumped on Amazon and bought the CD. There will be no disappointment in this CD.
They are definitely a step above some big name groups out there playing right now and down right put some to shame.
Buy it and enjoy it!

Fantastic Debut album. I am looking forward to material from these guys in the future. This is exactly the kinda music i love. Only complaint is that the songs are really very short. But i suppose it prevents that feeling that the song is just dragging and dragging. But I just kinda stumbled across this band, and so glad i did. I can listen to the whole album all the way through! keep rockin Veer Union! I hope to see them in concert soon!

Every song on this album is awesome! I can't stop listening to it. It's in my car, on my ipod and on my computer. If you only spend money on one album this year, make it this one! This is a must listen to!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful debut for a great band., September 13, 2009
This review is from: Against the Grain (Audio CD)
Ever since I saw the Veer Union perform for the first time, I knew they were something special. I've never been as lucky to have $5 in my pocket to buy their promo CD. When I got it, it immediately went onto my iPod and I loved every song. While I did favor some over the others, I genuinely liked every track on the promo CD. Not many bands have done that for me.

Then I bought Against The Grain. Once again, I genuinely liked every song. "Seasons" and "Over Me" made a return, for they had appeared on the promo CD, and they were joined by great tracks like "Darker Side of Me", "I'm Sorry", "Your Love Kills Me", "Final Moment", and "Into Your Garden". They are mostly soft rock songs, but they also display a talent for hard rock and they sound amazing.

So overall, this is one of the best CD's I have ever bought and everyone I've recommended it to has loved it as well.
