One thing you have to admit about Larry Holmes, he speaks his heart, tells it like he lived it. This autobiography is full of interesting insights, most notably Larry's experience with the media and with Howard Cossell in particular.

That book made me live again the golden age of boxing. The 70's when there was "only" 2 world titles by category, the 70's when Larry Holmes had grown into a champion in a division at it's historical peak.

Holmes's feeling before stepping into the ring versus his former boss and world legend Muhammad Ali are worth the price of the book.

Any boxing fan should read it.
