This movie is terrific even if it's not easy to watch. You kind-of know the drill going in. It's three men on a life raft in the middle of the ocean for 90 minutes. But the character development is terrific and the ending doesn't disappoint. You will walk away wanting to know more about these three men and understanding a little better what hell WWII soldiers went through. I loved it.

Wow, this was amazing. Three men on a raft for a month. It was real, it was gritty, it was tense. These three guys landed in the Pacific during WWII, on a raft not much bigger than two banquet tables. This tale of challenge and survival couldn't be more gripping.

I thought I would be distracted by Draco Malfoy (Felton), but he quickly turned into somebody else, a survivor, and that was a surprise. The other actors you will also be familiar with from shows like Deadwood and the Lightning Thief. These guys were amazing.

Script was well-written and believable, and to know that this is a representative historical film makes it all the more intriguing and impactful. I will watch this one again.

This isn't just a story of WWII heroism, or a survival story of three guys on a raft. It's a film about how ordinary, flawed, very real human beings respond when placed into a situation many of us would find inconceivable. Almost all the action takes place on a tiny raft in the middle of the Pacific, drifting 1,000 miles over the course of a harrowing 34 days. Yet the characters' real journey takes place internally. Their struggles for water and food and fights against sharks and storms are riveting, my favorite parts were the smaller moments: the conflicts between the characters and their clinging to the small kindnesses that keep us human even during the darkest circumstances. Well done!

“They’ll check every square mile out here. It’ll take a while but they’ll do it. Won’t they?” After drifting off course a WWII pilot and his crew end up in a tiny lifeboat with no food, water, flares, or any real chance of being rescued. This is the true story of how they did everything the could to survive. Even though this is a true story it is something I had never heard of before. After recently watching Unbroken I was wondering how this would compare. This one opened with about 10 minutes of in plane scenes then right into the raft. What follows is an hour and a half of tense moments and wondering how this will play out. I would compare this very favorably to Unbroken, All Is Lost, or even something like Cast Away. If you have enjoyed those movies then I would check this one out as well. Very inspiring and moving. Another huge surprise watch. I always love when I find a movie I have never heard of that turns out to be better than 90% of the ones I have. This is one of those movies. Overall, if you liked Unbroken than check this one out as well. This is on par or better. I give it a high B+.

This was one of the best movies I have seen in a long while. The acting was excellent and the character interplay was well written and directed. It is a great testament to the human spirit and drive to survive. Please don't let this pass you by.

This is an excellent story about three men who are stranded at sea. There is enough action to keep the movie moving along and a lot of quiet moments which allow you to get to know the characters. It is amazing that they survived this harrowing experience. My entire family age 10 and up enjoyed it!

Great performances from Tom, Jake, and Garret. The story is intense but family-friendly. They managed to shoot it in a way that makes you feel like you're the fourth person on this raft, and you're just as involved in getting home safely as they are. Definitely worth your 90 minutes.
