The delivery was timely.
The camera itself was excellent - solid with a heavy aluminum shell.
The support bracket is OK for locations that there is not a risk of tampering, but a more heavy duty one is needed if it is in reach.
For 640x480 the image is excellent -in day light it is first rate, and in pitch black it is excellent.
Software is stable and has good functionality .
Superb value - it is essentially a Foscam in a beefier body.

BUT - it was advertised as a 67degree angle view - the sample I got clearly did not have 67Degs (I do have suitable references, and it is not 67deg)

Would have been 5, except for the factual error on the lens view angle.

Purchased "Agasio A612-POE Outdoor IP Camera with Power Over Ethernet (POE), IR-Cut Off Filter for TRUE COLOR Images, 20 Meter Night Vision, Motion Detection Email & FTP Alarm, 6mm Lens (67° Viewing Angle) - Silver" with a "TP-Link TL-SF1008P 8-Port 10/100M Desktop PoE Switch". Both arrived quickly in good shape. Really liked the quality of the camera construction - solid, tightly sealed. What I didn't know before purchasing was 1) a 120VAC/DC power adapter was included (i.e. don't necessiarly have to use POE) and 2) that there is a single cable out of the back of the camera about 2-3' long that expands into 3 things at the end: an ethernet plug, a power adapter plug, and a little button for camera reset (none of these are weatherproof). If you don't have a sheltered place 2-3 feet from camera, then the power/ ethernet cable connections will be exposed to the elements (although you could probably tape/ seal the connections). I wanted to first check out and verify operation of the camera before going to all the trouble to set it up/ route cables outside (good thing). So I installed the included software ("IP Camera Tool" on Windows Vista PC (dedicated to Blue Iris/ monitoring of 6 other older TrendNet cameras), connected the new Agasio camera to its power adapter and the ethernet to a non-POE switch. Software found the Agasio camera right away, had it working in no time - for simplicity I then only changed the camera to a fixed IP address, then added camera in Blue Iris, no problem, worked right away. Unplugged camera from power adapter and ethernet, powered up TP-Link POE Switch, plugged camera into one of the four POE ports (plus connected non-POE port into my other switch), Agasio camera powered up right away and continued to operate fine in Blue Iris.Read more ›

The camera worked fine for a week and then became intermittent, then failed. I tried swapping out POE injectors then the cable and that didn't help. I discovered that the port on the camera for the network cable isn't water proof and the contact wires inside the camera were corroded.

I ordered this to replace a Panasonic BL-C140A that had failed after several years of outdoor use. The Panasonic has a higher quality picture: better color, better able to handle contrast, better able to handle low light. But the Panasonic doesn't have IR and isn't rated for full exposure to the weather.

There aren't any instructions for the mounting hardware or even a picture. The two flat pieces are meant to be assembled parallel to each other with the spherical ends of the mounting rods sandwiched between them.

So far the camera works well. Powered up fine with PoE. Image quality is decent (better than expected). The web interface looks pretty nice, however I will not be using it. I prefer to use zoneminder as I have other cameras and it's nice to have a central management interface. Camera took 3 minutes to configure with zoneminder. It was very simple. For outdoor use make sure you put your connector in one of those small outdoor electrical boxes and still wrap electrical tape around the connections. The build quality seems good. I have only had the camera for a short period of time. I will update as time passes (if i forget remind me). I will be purchasing about two more of these cameras with expectation of buying even more down the road. I highly recommend wired cameras over wireless. The only time you should use wireless is if you can not run cable.

My Zoneminder configuration:

Remote Host Name: IP_ADDRESS_GOES_HERE
Remote Host Path: [...]

I did not try the settings with the default blank password. not sure if it would work (maybe remove pwd field). Just go to included web interface and change the password to something.

"Camera is better than the old foscam with no irfilter and purple trees, at least the colors are right and no adjustment necessary from daylight to dark..."
