4.0 out of 5 stars Different name, different band...duh!!!, April 4, 2007

This review is from: Age Eternal (Audio CD)
so Middian is Mike from Yob's new band...there are some strong similarities, and some distinct changes. First, this is obviously doomy and heavy, but the heavy psychedelic guitar nods are really toned down on Age Eternal. The sound overall is much more bleak and desolate, with more in common with serious gloomsters like Asunder, Buried At Sea, and the like...dark and menacing at times with brief respites of meloncholic melodies. Mike's trademark high pitched vocals are still very present, with the low growls there as well. Overall, the album is doomier but maintains familiar themes visited on the Yob records...recommended!!!

Out-of-print, almost unavailable, this record crushes almost anything else in the metal genre. Sample the track "Age Eternal" wherever you can find it--it's amazing!
Then order this CD fast--they aren't making anymore! [Middian was sued into nonexistence by a band with a similar name--a travesty.]

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, December 26, 2007
This review is from: Age Eternal (Audio CD)
This album rules. Please don't get this band mixed up with the bunch of money grubbing, day-labor, white trash Madison, Wisconsin band who spells their name with only one D.

You see, this band has actually put out an album AND toured outside of their own state. Amazing! Not to mention has members from YOB, a highly influencial doom band from several years prior.

The CD? It's pretty good too! I highly reccomend it. That is, if you're not into crappy Wisconsin sports-bar metal bands who have tribal tattoos.
