Like nothing else, September 27, 2004
This review is from: The Age of Sinatra (Soft Skull ShortLit) (Paperback)
Briefly, this book is like nothing else. Completely original, innovative, strange, funny. Disturbing sometimes, yes, but only in the best ways, i.e. if you like dark humor you'll laugh at lot, and if you don't you will at least appreciate the power of the satire. Most likely if you found your way here, you have an idea of what Ohle is about. But a detailed review can now be found online by doing a search with the words "Ohle" and "Bookforum." For anyone interested in the avant-garde, experimentalism, post-post-modernism, or whatever it's called these days, this is truly the literature of the future, replete with a profound concern for the present and past. Don't miss the boat, chief.
