5.0 out of 5 stars Marek and Tyrone (The Agency 3) by J.J. Massa
Marek is a slovakian spy who work for the US government. He is very smart and good, and very young, only 24 years old. He is not handsome in a classical way and he is also a little crabby, mostly due to his shyness when he is not on duty. So he is overwhelmed by the open and friendly Tyrone, the Afro American cook who works for the Agency's cafeteria.

The author told a charming love story between Tyrone and Marek such that I was surprised at their relationship hiccup. A plot device to add a third lover. I was dissapointed with this. I am a fan of "true love", which was what I was led to believe. Sure the new guy (Caesar) loved Marek too, but come one, the story is billed as Marek and Tyrone. Not Marek, Tyrone, and...

2.0 out of 5 stars I felt deceived, November 17, 2008
This review is from: The Agency: Marek and Tyrone (Paperback)
This book was described as a love story between Tyrone and Marek, but then a third character is added in to the mix as another love for Marek. I don't mind if a story includes a triad or other mixed relationships, but I want to be warned that it is going to happen. I personally would get really jealous if my love was also in love with someone else, so I personally just don't like to read that genre. Marek and Tyrone were so good together and I was just disappointed with the way the story turned out. The summary needs to be changed.

Not Marek, Tyrone, and Caesar.

Caesar and Tyrone do reach an agreement to love Marek together. But that didn't make me accept their new relationship until the author noted that Marek cared more for Tyrone than Caesar. I took this to be an attempt to salvage Marek's and Tyrone's love story. Still 3 stars for the pretense. Tell me what I'm buying pleaaaassseee.

5.0 out of 5 stars Marek and Tyrone (The Agency 3) by J.J. Massa, August 7, 2007
This review is from: The Agency: Marek and Tyrone (Paperback)
Marek is a slovakian spy who work for the US government. He is very smart and good, and very young, only 24 years old. He is not handsome in a classical way and he is also a little crabby, mostly due to his shyness when he is not on duty. So he is overwhelmed by the open and friendly Tyrone, the Afro American cook who works for the Agency's cafeteria.

Tyrone has a sweet tooth for this young man and manages to make find him delicious course every time he snugs in the cafeteria late in the night. And the last time he finds the courage to asks him out and they start a sweet relationship, far from work. But work calls and Tyrone has to deal with Marek's life and overpasses his nurtuting nature who pushes him to be protective.

Marek is young and not used to be loved, even if around him many persone care for him, much more he thinks of. And like who has never known a gentle touch, he falls for the first person who touches him. Tyrone is a big but tender man; not beautiful, maybe also overweight, but it is not physical appeareance who seeks Marek. Moreover, the big body of Tyrone makes him feel secure.

I like very much the relationship between Marek and Tyrone, so much that I'm a little disconcerted and not at all pleased with the switch we have in the end. Not want to make spoiler, you have to read it to know why. Before it happens, I was very satisfied with this book. Maybe it's my old way of think, maybe I believe is not to much realistic and according with Marek and Tyrone's characters... but as I say, overall I like J.J. Massa's style and I will reading more about her.

This was a fast paced book that was truly interesting. I felt immersed in the story. JJ can really pull her reader into the story.
