4.0 out of 5 stars INTRIGUE - MISUNDERSTANDING - DANGER, September 21, 2006

This review is from: Agent -in- Charge (Harlequin Intrigue) (Mass Market Paperback)
this holds a nice combination of intrigue, misunderstanding and danger.

Casey Warren, divorcee, was a victim of a hit-and-run after trying to return her ex-husband's things. She apparentely didn't understand why her ex told her to stay away from Hearthline Security where he worked.

Graham Warren was thought to be a mild-mannered civil servant by Casey who just took too many unexplained trips and so she lost her trust in him.

It turns out that Graham was part of an elite team of undercover agents who fought to prevent any terrorist attacks on the Country.

With Casey being blinded by the run-down, Graham decided that he had to keep her safe and protected. He ended showing up with a Golden Retriever named Willy to help Casey get around.

Yet strange accidents kept happening to Casey. Graham was running around in circles trying to figure out who was after her and if it tied into a plot they were trying to prevent.

He became very suspicious of Rafe Valera, son of Anton, who lived across the hall from Casey. Especially when he found out Rafe carried a 357.

And Eddie Lawton seemed to have his nose in everyone's computer at Hearthline.

Graham was working closely with a former member of his original squad, Holt Kincaide, now a D.C cop.

Another enjoyable read - good characters - nicely moving plot - another mixed-up female. Ah well.

Definitely Recommended
