5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect blend of action, suspense and romance! February 6, 2012
By sarah
Format:Kindle Edition
If you're looking for a fast-paced, exciting, edge-of-your-seat sexy thrill ride then check out these stories in Dana Marton's Agents Under Fire series. This woman knows how to write - the stories start with a bang and do not let up. These novellas (each around 60 pages) are so well written I feel like I know these characters, and find myself holding my breath when they're in danger. I care about them, which blows me away because of the limited number of pages. Concrete proof that quality trumps quantity when it comes to writing. The perfect blend of action, suspense and romance.
I was especially anticipating Troy's story after reading the first two novellas in the series because the teasing glimpses of Troy made me very curious, and I am not disappointed. This is easily my favorite story of the three.
Troy is tough, sexy, brave, loyal and scarred, and when we meet him he's in serious trouble. He's been badly beaten and is likely to be killed. Claire is one of his guards, a recent Army veteran suffering from PTSD, hired as a token gesture by the corrupt Congressman and his sleazy security force. But nobody thought that Claire might be tough, brave, and smart and have a strong moral core of steel. She soon rescues Troy and they begin an uneasy alliance based on a tentative trust and growing attraction.
But all the heroes and heroines are likable and well-developed. The men are brave and honorable and incredibly sexy, and her heroines are just as brave and capable of kicking some butt! These are very satisfying and exciting stories.

5.0 out of 5 stars you can always count on Dana Marton! February 6, 2012
By Deb A.
Format:Kindle Edition
Dana Marton novels are some of my favorites to read, and these three certainly didn't let me down! Dana consistently delivers enjoyable, believable tales if intrigue.

Packed full of action and romance, the heroes and heroines are constantly on the run, facing and overcoming challenges put before them and defying anyone who dares to follow!

5.0 out of 5 stars I want them all! April 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was my introduction to Dana Marton, and I will definitely be getting more of her books! Each of the heroes made me want to bring them home myself, and the romances they shared with their women made me green with envy. I loved how the stories in this set flowed from one to the other, and I didn't feel like I had to get to know a whole new family. My only complaint is that the books had to end!

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay books December 2, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I liked the trilogy, the men were very well thought out characters. The women as well, except for one tiny problem. Every single female heroine in the series had to be sexually assulted as part of her backstory. Jasmine: sexually assulted in her backstory before she and Gabe meet up. Allison: sexually assulted so that Jake can rescue her. Claire: sexually assulted before running off to join the Army. I'm sorry, but that really turned me off. Everything else was great, but the fact that all THREE main girls were sexually assulted just rubs me the wrong way. Jasmine and Allison, okay I can understand. They were in a war zone and in the middle of dangerous situations where men would do such things to women. However when I got to that part with Claire, I about threw my Kindle across the room. That was unnecessary. Dana Marton, you write very well and have interesting characters. Why couldn't you come up with a different trauma for Claire to have to run away from her family? The PTSD was a good touch, her mom wanting to get her married to a rich (and much older) man was a good touch, so it didn't need her to have "and I was nearly raped at a garden party" to be there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Action Packed Romantic Thrill Rides! May 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Dana Marton has become a new favorite author of mine after reading this trilogy! Each novella in this trilogy is filled with intense spy-action moments infused with romance. Strong heroines and heroes in all three books, each not looking for love but finding it nonetheless under extreme circumstances!! Loved all three stories!

5.0 out of 5 stars A compelling romance/suspense trilogy February 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Dana Marton weaves a compelling novella about the battle waged between passion and reason, desire and duty, and of course love.

This was entertaining reading from start to finish and hits upon emotions that everyone experiences sometime in their life.

Dana never disappoints and I've always loved her "sheikh" romances. Agents Under Fire trilogy
takes the drama of romance, suspense and sizzling tension to new levels!
