Believe it or not, this was my introduction to an inline video game (I'm a 1st person shooter fan). This is a great game!! The tutorial got me up to speed quickly, and it was all fun and games from there. Great graphics, awesome sound, tons of gameplay. Give it a try!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must buy for Nintendo Gamecube, August 7, 2002
This review is from: Aggressive Inline (Video Game)
Aggressive Inline for Nintendo Gamecube is a Tony Hawk/Dave Mirra clone on rollerblades. Now, just because most of the Tony Hawk clones on the game market haven't lived up to their expectations, Aggressive Inline does. The Gamecube version was released in August 2002, when the Playstation2 version was released in May 2002. This delay is for improving the software. If you place two televisions, one with a Playstation2 playing this, and a Gamecube playing it, you can notice the difference. The Gamecube supports Progressive Scan with the compatible televisions. The Gamecube has stronger hardware, allowing Z-Axis, (the producing company) to push the envolope farther. The Gamecube uses more polygons on the characters than the Playstation2 does. There is progressive mapping too. The only thing against the Gamecube version is that the Xbox also has this game. There is only 7 levels to skate in. But that's no problem, because these levels are the largest levels you will see in a while. The Xbox boasts a whole new level, unavailable on the Playstation2 and Gamecube. The Xbox also features a customizable soundtrack, because CD tracks can be burned on the hard drive. No big deal, because Aggessive Inline has a excellent soundtrack.

The controls of Aggressive Inline will be a little hard if you haven't played Dave Mirra or Tony Hawk. The A Button is used for ollieing (jumping for the skating impared), B button is for grabs, X Button is for modifying, Y button is used for grinding, L and R are used for rotations, and the Z button is used for the cess slide, similar to the revert in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. The Z button is pretty far away from the R button, because I find it discomfarting to keep taking my index finger off the R trigger to press the stiff Z button. But, after a while, it becomes second nature. To conclude, Aggressive Inline is grinding it's way on to shelves August 6th, 2002, and you should pick this title right away. If you don't believe me, check the reviews!

4.0 out of 5 stars Just like Tony Hawk, April 3, 2004
By
This review is from: Aggressive Inline (Video Game)
This game is almost exactly the same as Tony Hawk except it is rollerblading. It is a must have for extreme sport game players. Some of the moves are pretty sweet even though you can't really do much with just your two feet with wheels on them. great game get it or rent it.

This review is from: Aggressive Inline (Video Game)
this is by far the greatest extreme skating game ive ever played, i started playing it at 9pm one night with a friend and we couldnt put the controller down till about 3 am. its very addicting but becasue it is so real. the graphics are great and it has all the top tricks with all the best skaters. the places to skate are excellent giving places to throw out some sick grind combos.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Extreme Sports game I've ever played!, October 11, 2002
This review is from: Aggressive Inline (Video Game)
First there was Tony. Then there was Dave Mirra. Now we have Aggressive Inline(AI). Two simple words can summarize my experience with AI: SO AWESOME!
Expletives aside, let me tell you what AI does so well. It has 9 levels, each one being incredibly huge with 20 or so objectives when open them up. Then, you can find a key to open the rest of the level. So the levels which are already twice the size of Tony Hawk 3's, become 3X the size of the Hawk's! Now sure, big levels doesn't always mean big fun? Well here we have RPG like stat building, EXTREMELY well designed levels and great control. The gameplay side of this game is insanely strong! Graphically the game moves swiftly and while not incredible it is VERY solid. Soundwise, funny voices and a mixed bag of crappy or AMAZINGLY GOOD songs make up the soundtrack. Pharcyde, Boyhitscar and Hoobastank make it worthwhile.

If you 20+ hours easy of gameplay thats fun, entertaining and as good as it gets, buy this game....NOW

And it has a track editor!

4.0 out of 5 stars It's a fine game, August 14, 2002

I'm not a rollerblader, but have always liked these games, but I encountered one main problem. I don't know some of the lingo in the game, and there aren't places to learn them, so it kept me guessing.

The control is a bit off, and things move very fast. Otherwise, the worlds you skate in are intuitive long, and worth exploring. This is the game for bladers, and even non bladers to get.
