I was disappointed in this book. The material really isn't anything new.
The book's lay-out is poorly designed...huge quotes from professionals in the center of pages. I assume this is to make-up for lack of content. The author's personal stories and experiences are funny, but I wasn't expecting a mini-auto biography. If you absolutely know nothing about making healthy choices (don't smoke, avoid over-exposure to sun) and need the very basic tricks to look and remain feeling a bit younger, then this is the book for you. If you need something more substantial I think Christopher Hopkin's book, Staging Your Come Back, is far more "to the point" and better written. As for anti-aging health tips, you can easily find the ones listed in Aging Backwards on-line for free. Seriously, there are more informative books available.

As a licensed esthetician, teaching my clients how to take care of their skin & look their best at any age is an integral part of my business. I was thrilled when I received my copy of 'Aging Backwards' by Jackie Silver because she definitely knows her stuff! This book is a collection of THE BEST beauty & skin care tips around all in one place. Every woman should have a copy of this book and consider it to be their 'anti-aging' bible! Kudos to you Jackie!

Jackie Silver's book is fun to read and practical. The anti-aging tips are definitely things anyone can do. I'm 31 and glad I got my hands on this book so early!

Alternating between amusing and touching anecdotes while citing the latest research, Jackie Silver has presented us with a goldmine of anti-aging tips. And not just for women. Anyone truly interested in slowing and even reversing signs of aging should read this book and refer to it often.

The author could well be one of the next well-known anti-aging authorities, so get this book for a hint of what's to come.

If, after reading all the reviews, you still want to buy this book, for the love of all that's holy do not pay the ripoff prices quoted by the booksellers here. You can buy it directly from the author on her site for for under 20 dollars!

Very disappointed in this book. Like the other reviewers said, it is so light on content that big pull-quotes from so-called experts are used on every page to take up space. Much of this content appears like cut-and-paste material from other sources. The arrangement of the content seems very disjointed. Hard to follow. Not logical. Not an easy read.

Save your money or buy "How Not To Look Old." I really pity the women who paid $20 for this slim paperback on her Aging Backwards website.

I met Jackie Silver in Las Vegas last week over drinks, where we exchanged books and parted as friends forever. I kept trying to sneak peeks at the inside of the book while we were chatting, it's so compelling!

The next day I began reading, and breezed through the book in just a few hours, it's that easy to digest the information.

From the right supplements and foods for your body, to her personal experiences with products and procedures promising to reverse the effects of again, Jackie has tested it all. She provides information on how to "stop" biological, or genetic aging of your cells, mental aging so your brain and attitude stay young, and cosmetic aging... so you can look, think and feel young all at the same time.

I recommend picking up a copy of this delightful book to get an overview of hundreds of easy and actionable ideas to help you on your anti-aging quest.

I purchased this book because the topic interests me a lot and the reviews for it were so great. I was expecting to learn something but instead found a most pathetic book. In it it had so much information on the most boring topics. Things like road crash statistics, crossword puzzles and how she used to be obese and was on a 8 month icecream diet. I hated this book and found the info in it useless.

My copy of Aging Backwards by Jackie Silver arrived just last week and I couldn't tear the package open FAST enough! I'm turning 55 in two months and up to this point I've only been AGIN. This book is a quick read and you can skip around and read it out of order without a problem. One of the things that I thought before digging into it was that it was going to be a "same old, same old" book that talks about diet, exercise & how to apply makeup. While those subjects are tackled in this book, I couldn't have been more wrong. I've been around the block a few times and I must say that most of the material was NEW TO ME.

So, I am beginning my Aging Backwards journey as of today and I'm really looking forward to seeing a YOUNGER me as I progress. I'll let you know how it goes, but in the meantime this book would be a GREAT investment for anyone who really cares about turning back the clock.

Hi Jackie, I am so excited for you! My copy of your book arrived a few days ago (nicely autographed, Thank You!) and I have to admit I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN! Your advice is so timely and your stories have me laughing so hard my stomach hurts! Thank you for that, since you taught me that laughter is excellent for aging backwards! I am the same age as you, yet you look more like my daughter. So as I combine your advice with my own chemical free lifestyle, I expect that when we are both 120 years old we will both look like we are only 60! (Ok you will probably still look like you are 15.) And I can guarantee that neither of us will be wearing Depends! (That was my favorite of your stories!) Congratulations on your book launch, I hope there are many more to follow. Sarah Rose
