This should NEVER be a textbook
This book is absolutely terrible! Aside from the mind-numbingly long paragraphs that state and re-state the same things, there are serious typographical and editorial errors. The author uses the word "tantamount" so many times it could be a drinking game. Not only that, but he/she uses it without even knowing what the word means! Someone (hopefully an editor) should tell...

This book is absolutely terrible! Aside from the mind-numbingly long paragraphs that state and re-state the same things, there are serious typographical and editorial errors. The author uses the word "tantamount" so many times it could be a drinking game. Not only that, but he/she uses it without even knowing what the word means! Someone (hopefully an editor) should tell him/her that "tantamount" means "equivalent in effect or value" and the word he/she is really looking for is "paramount" which means "of chief importance or value". It really changes the meaning of the sentence "Nutrition is TANTAMOUNT in the maintenance of health"
