Great great GREAT!,

This album is so awesome! If you like Celtic rock, then this one is definitely for you. The Tossers are the best thing since The Pogues. The lyrics to some of the songs are brilliant and the musicianship is just as much good.
These guys deserve to be bigger than they actually are, and I hope they will hit it big pretty soon. The songs talk about love, war, drinking, fighting, f*cking. As usual, some songs touch some actual matters while others refer to history and the rest is just plain fun. The ballads are stunningly beautiful and the faster songs are really catchy. It's hard not to tap the toes! The first single, Siobhan (pronounce Sho-Van) is really cool and catchy and reminds me of the song Boat Train of the Pogues. Tony still uses his Oirish accent, which is not the best in the world, but it's a big part of what makes The Tossers. I tell you, pick this album up if you are a celtic rock fan, or only a fan of music in general, because these guys can play and it shows!

Outstanding Celtic Punk Album- "GO!",
By
This review is from: Agony (Audio CD)
Here we go again with another great release by Chicago's very own Irish influenced band in The Tossers. "Agony" is definitely the band's most musically talented album yet. Although "Agony" comes at ya with 17 tracks, it's surprisin' to see that it only clocks in just over 48 minutes. A lot of this is due to the band's fast ragin' Irish punk side that'll always be part of The Tossers repertoire. From the opening track-"Never Enough", The Tossers take you on a personal journey goin' straight into their Irish punk ways 'bout the booze to other fast tracks such as "Pub and Culture", "Did it All For You", "Siobhan", "Where ya been Johnny?", & "The Nut House". For a more folk side check out tracks "Leopardstown Races", "Romany", and "Movin' On"-where Aaron Duggins(tin whistle) really shines with his graceful playin' style. Let's not discount Becca's fiddle playin' especially on "The Sheep in the Boots"-a crafty instrumental that'll have you toe-tappin' without notice. Lead singer/mandolin player- T. Duggins provides originality with just plain old heartfelt lyrics to some serious bad arse rants. Just about every track stands out on its own and it's hard to pick a favorite. Overall, I would say this is probably the darkest album the band has released. Without a doubt, The Tossers latest album definitely showcases their unbelievable talent to cover all walks of life. From everyday decision makin', drinkin', politics, love, to an inspirational track called "Be", "Agony" easily stands out as The Tossers most diverse album that keeps gettin' better and better with every listen. The more you listen to this album the more you'll be hooked! sla'inte!

As good a Irish Punk Album as I have ever heard!,

My love for Irish punk/folk started with Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys and eventually to the Pogues. In my search to find another, the Tossers stood out. This is probably their best album. The depth and emotion of the writing of "Shade" and "Not alone" just grabs you by the throat and demands all your energy to soak it in. "Never Enough", "Did it all for you" and "Claddagh" are also excellent. The Tossers just pull you in, where the line is blurred between musical entertainment and soul awakening. I am probably outside their core demographic audience at 42, but I find the intense, honest lyrics coupled with the ferocity and rawness of the delivery is as good as any in the genre.

Best Tossers Yet,

As a lover of most all Irish Rock music I have to say that this offering from the Tossers is one of the best. Each song has that Irish edge and these guys seem to deliver it better than the others. I find it more consistent quality wise than their earlier recordings, yet still has the edge that makes the Tossers fun, yet poignant to listen to.

I love the Tossers. This wasn't one of their better albums but it still rocked. The singles were good and all but I felt that the rest of their work was far better than this album. But still I would buy it if I were you and into Celtic rock. ROCK!

The Tossers, not just another Celtic band.,

This CD is loads of fun and perfect for parties. While the lead singer's voice is not that great, the music, and the other musicians, more than make up for it. The band also has a keen and correct sense of current political corruption. If you love Irish music and alternative rock (used to be punk), and love edgy political (and social) messages, then this Band is for you. They impart more energy than a sack of electric eels.

Great if you like a fast drum beat and drinking at the same pub everyday. Also great if like anything out of Chicago. Not good if like variety.
