3.0 out of 5 stars Middling
A fair summary of anarchist, a.k.a. "agorist" political and social views, but doesn't go very far and won't likely persuade critical readers not already leaning in that direction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential radical libertarian/agorist theory, June 3, 2009
This review is from: An Agorist Primer (Hardcover)
Circulated as Xerox copies since its completion in 1986, An Agorist Primer: Counter-Economics, Total Freedom, and You has finally been given the distinction it roundly deserves by being released in proper book form.

Building on and expanding his radical libertarian theory -- called agorism -- Samuel Edward Konkin III continues the work begun in New Libertarian Manifesto and other writings by further mapping the field of agorist theory and practice. Said to have been the man who "out-Rothbarded" the great Murray himself, SEK3's agorism applies libertarian principle to economic and social life with merciless consistency, casting aside the compromising sins of "being realistic" -- a cop-out in support of the statist, exploitative and decidedly non-libertarian status quo.

The book contains concise and incisive explorations of economics, counter-economics, libertarianism and agorism, and is replete with practical information and applications of agorist theory to the real world as well as expositions of the theory itself. Konkin's erudition and his long practice of counter-economics make the volume both a joy to read, and essential reading for the progress of liberty in the world and in your very own life.
