Check out the details of this amazing set! 1. 33 Wood-shaped dark-brown pieces. These wood tokens will be of simple design but still look like a piece of dark brown wood or a branch from a tree (stick). 2. 27 dark red pieces. These will be a brick and basically a brick shape. It will work as a brick in most games, or could also be considered a clay. 3. 15 light white counters. These generic white food or cat-tail markers will be great for general token replacement. They will be fatter on the bottom and skinnier on the top than the grain tokens but of a similiar look. 4. 20 grey stone counters. They will have a granite/ dark gray color to them. 5. 27 yellow wheat counters. These will be yellow like bundles and stand up by themselves. 6. 18 orange carrots or food counters. These will look like carrots, orange and just carrot shaped. 7. 36 additional food markers. These will be in 3 varieties, a simple bread, 12 of these. Also 12 Fish tokens (wooden, fish shaped), and 12 chicken leg / drum stick shaped pieces of meat. 8. 12 Gold markers. These trapazoid shaped gold markers are great for all those euro games that require gold of any sort. These will look like a real gold brick in terms of shape and not a lame yellow cube like most games have in them. The total number of pieces then is 33 wood, 27 bricks, 15 white tokens, 20 stone, 27 wheat, 12 gold, 18 carrots and 36 additional food (12 each of bread, fish and drum-sticks/chicken leg). Total of 188 pieces all together. So what can you do with this set? Many kids say they are very very excited to play Farm with them, only with smaller, high-quality wooden components. They will also be a good generic token replacement set, you could use them for Stone Age, Powergird, or just about any other "euro" game. Use the wood to power your Powergrid factories! Use all of the Stone, Gold and Wood for Kingsburg! Use these for Agricola! Try them for any other game!

Recently I purchased the Vegeemeeples euro token set for the game Agricola. In general I am pleased with the quality of the pieces. They seem relatively solid (as much as little wooden pieces can be). My disappointment lies with the quantity of the pieces. It seems they were trying to satisfy too many games with all the pieces. My first game of Agricola (playing a 5 person game), I ran out of wood and brick in small amounts (2-3 pieces) throughout the game. I used the original colored wooden discs that come with the game to substitute in when I had to and that was ok. I had no need for the chicken legs or the gold (I think those are for the Stone Age game?) Needless to say, every game is going to require different quantities depending on the strategy each time, but they should have made this set larger if they wanted to appeal to all games.
I finally figured out that I can buy both the brick and wood independently in sets of 10 qty (as well as all the other pieces). I kept searching for "meeples" but the search terminology should be "wooden token set". That will turn up the small sets that sell for around $2.25. Most will have super saver shipping but not all.
Is it worth it? Well, it definitely takes the cuteness factor up a huge notch. I have these and the animeeples and people meeples and think they definitely add fun factor. If you can afford them, I would highly recommend them.

This is a fun addition to any game that have there types of items. It makes it clear to know what is what so there can be no question. Worth it if you are looking for something a little difference to add some spice to one of your favorite games.

I consider myself a person with a strong imagination, yet I can't help but love the tactile joy of having these pretty game pieces. Replacing the standard Agricola cubes with these well designed vegeemeeples just makes the game that much more fun. Having a pasture full of cute sheep and cattle is more fun to play with and look at then white cubes and brown cubes. The same can be said for he vegetables.
If I had one complaint, it would be that I think the fish, bread and meat pieces are a bit overboard. The game board gets pretty crowded and complicated if you use them, therefore we have been leaving those out and sticking with the simple food tokens. If you have plenty of space at your table and and like to use them, then by all means, enjoy.
In short, these are well made and look great and really help to bring more of a farm feel to Agricola.

Gold?
Everything looks good. But gold? There is no gold in Agricola or any of its expansions. Other than that, the pieces are nice.
