Amazing clarity and depth.

Great cab, lots of headroom for the size, use it with the Aguilar TH500, what a great combination!!!!

And with the rising costs of neodymium, I'd get these while you can.

I have two of these cabinets. I have tried everything on the market, and these cabinets are awesome. They are light weight (I thought the box was empty when I received them), but tone was not sacrificed. They can handle the low B through the G string with ease. Though they are rated to handle 250 Watts RMS, they handle a lot more wattage. They also sound good even at low volume. The downside is that they are expensive. However, if you can afford to buy them, do so, you won't need more.

This is a great cab for the gigging bassist who needs a flexible sounding speaker and is willing to pay extra for significant weight savings.

The 12" speaker provides a nice, well-rounded tone with more low end thump than a 10" and more upper midrange clarity than a 15". An adjustable tweeter can dial in variable levels of clicks and noise if your playing style requires it, or it can be turned off completely. If you have an amp that can push and pull the midrange, I think you will be very happy with the variety of sounds you will be able to coax from these speakers.

I'd classify this as Aguilar's "generalist" cab, as opposed to "specialist." That is to say, it can cover a lot of different styles adequately, but it does not focus on capturing a specific sound perfectly.

The SL 112 weighs half as much as a traditional cabinet but that weight savings comes at a hefty price. A single SL 112 costs as much as what some competitors are charging for a complete 8x10 "refrigerator of sound." There are better options if weight savings isn't a priority. However, if you carry your own gear and would rather see your money go into a decent cab than an expensive chiropractor bill, The Aguilar SL 112 is worth checking out.

These cabs are absolutely great! For the size and weight, Aguilar hit a home run with the tone that you can get from them. If you're looking for a lightweight option that doesn't compromise on tone, look no further. And with the rising costs of neodymium, I'd get these while you can.

Seemingly weightless, the speaker is almost like a magical illusion. The sound however, is full bodied with a tight bottom. It is a pleasure to carry up the stairs at 2 AM.
