Even though I already owned the original Japanese release of this CD, I was sure to pick this up, if only to help support anime music hitting U.S. shores.

If you have seen the Ah! My Goddess movie, then you have a fairly good idea of what to expect here. Unquestionably one of the standard setters of the times for anime soundtracks, AMG:TM uses a full orchestra to it's fullest potential to get an unforgettable original score that will have you hitting the "repeat" button on many tracks.

To go with the original score, there are also some unforgettable vocal tracks. I have yet to meet anyone who isn't moved in some way by Coro di Dea (mispelled on the tracklisting as Doro di Dea), the song of the goddesses sang during the movie's climax. You also get the two kareoke scene tracks sung by Belldandy and Sora, not to mention quite a couple of tracks not in the movie at all, but still go well with everything else.

Whether you are fan of anime or orchestra music, you should do yourself a favor and pick this little gem up.

I bought this soundtrack CD right after I watched the movie on DVD. I enjoy the soundtrack as much as the movie. The orchestral pieces are particularly memorable. I had it literally playing for days as background music on my computer. It is still one of the few soundtrack CDs that I play regularly.

For your information, Nobuo Uematsu, the pioneer in gaming music of Final Fantasy, was involved in AMG movie soundtrack. So you can expect the best of the best and this is really an album of masterpiece with emotions.

This soundtrack is so far one of my favorite, listening it all the time. It still bring me as much emotion as the Movie. A great success in the selection of the musics illustrating the story...

Ever since the day I downloaded the piece "Morgan-Amor Tristis" I knew I would love whatever CD came with it. I was 100% correct. This album contains songs that are so breathtakingly gorgeous I had to stop whatever I was doing just to listen to them.
Of course, as I mentioned earlier, "Morgan-Amor Tristis" Is the jewel of this CD, but I found the choral pieces to be equaly beautiful. "Dea Cantat- The Goddess Sings" is the second piece song as a solo with no instrumentation. The vocalist carries the song beautifuly and creates a simplistic joy.
Towards the end, the song "Cora de Dea- Voices of Goddess" (an instrumental and full choral version of "Dea Cantat") gives us a fitting finale.
I also enjoyed the songs "Celestin- Seditianis Auctor" and "Crystallus Malus- Dark Shrine" for their sense of hidden darkness and despare.
ANd finally the song "Spring Unchanged" brought with it the perfect sense of the season and all the characters.
This was my first order with Amazon and so I didn't know when to expect the Cd. To my delight, it arrived in less than four days! Thank you sooooo much!
This is a great CD. For all manga and anime lovers, this is a must have!

As the name "soundtrack" implies, one expects music that sounds terrible and uninteresting without the action on the screen. This soundtrack definitely breaks the soundtrack mold, offering spectacular music independent of the movie. I would say this is the perfect soundtrack. Plenty of emotional songs masterfully orchestrated; I even got chills for some of them (rarely happens). The only thing that lacks in this soundtrack is the tracks of "action" or "fighting". Don't get me wrong, there are several, but the balance is a bit off. However, this is only natural since this movie was more emotionally based.

The music soundtrack I ordered was in perfect condition like it was new. No damages and scratches the CD and the case. The songs on the soundtrack sound very relaxing. A great purchase from a trustworthy seller. Thank you so much.
