You can never go wrong with Maira Kalman - but for the kids, this is a super treat. Beautiful art and unique - unexpectedly unique (even as a fan of hers) - content for each of the A-B-Cs. A neat idea to adults, and perhaps if you're going to visit the museum then this would be a great way to get ready, but falls flat as a children's book. It's bizarre and not easily understood as a stand alone book. The illustrations are fabulous, but the ultimate reviewer (my 5 yo) hated it.
