Worst litter I have ever used, September 21, 2010
This review is from: Ah Multicat Clmpng Litter 28 Pounds (Misc.)
Saw this at the store with an on the box coupon so I decided to be cheap and pick it up. I have used many other Arm and Hammer products to alleviate pet odors such as carpet powder for vacuuming so it seemed like a good idea to have a litter with the stuff already in it. Wow, was I wrong.
First off a dust/powder flies all over the place as you scoop or pour new litter in. This substance doesn't even smell that good and does little to stop odor. You end up having a weird slightly fragrant smell of feces in your home with this.
The clumping ability is extremely poor especially when it comes to urine. It simply breaks apart into small pieces that slide through my scooper so it takes forever to get them out of the box.
This is hands down the worst litter I have used. Generic brands from the grocery store work better. I recommend Tidy Cats or if you want to go green use Swheat Scoop. They are both much better. The worst part of my story is the coupon on the box ended up being for other products for Arm and Hammer so I didn't even get the discount on my box of the garbage. :) C'est la vie.

Stinks! (literally), October 24, 2009

We usually use Fresh Step or Scoop Away, but recently we decided to try this Arm & Hammer Extra Strength multi-cat litter.
Shortly after we started using it, I noticed our house started having a smell that I didn't notice before. Now, it is quite a bit worse, and recently when scooping the cat litter, even though I don't breathe through my nose I still started coughing. I have not had anything like that reaction with previous brands of cat litter. Now I hold my breath while scooping and walk a few steps away to breathe. I suspect what may have happened is some of the litter didn't clump (the color was darker than original, but not in a clump) and so didn't get scooped and so the urine may have remained in the box.
In any case, this is by far worse than the Fresh Step and Scoop Away. For our next box we will switch back to one of those other brands; hopefully that will fix the problem.
