From School Library Journal
Grade 4-6–This look at human intelligence briefly covers the physiology of the brain, how humans learn, common learning disabilities, how intelligence is measured, and "Making the Most of Your Smarts." Written in a breezy, offhand style, the book is a grab bag of facts and trivia. Sidebars, games, cartoon illustrations, and backgrounds of various colors make for a very busy layout. The experiments seem ill thought out and function more as filler than as ideas to further any kind of scientific inquiry. Although the more-than-adequate index will aid readers determined to extract the maximum amount of information, this offering is more for tiptoeing through the topic than for real investigation.
