Nice Sticks...price is okay.,

I got these sticks for my birthday...I've never had to use another pair since(been about 7 months now) Its a shame too, I kind of like breaking wooden sticks every month on a cymbal! The bounce is incredible, i can play alot longer and faster. Only complaint and its a small one: Just like everything Metallica, its overpriced. Oh well. I won't pay $90 for shows anymore either.

i was very nervous about buying 30 dollar drum sticks... hell i'm not even an avid metallica fan... these were just the best ones amazon had at the time. They don't really feel much heavier than actual wooden sticks... but strangely enough after a while i started to notice improvement in speed. plus these are nearly unbreakable... i say nearly because they say the tips can break but are replaceable but mine haven't broken thus far. I don't really use them on stage because nothing beats the feel of regular sticks to me however I do use them at every practice and they haven't shown me one flaw.

I break wood sticks really fast because i play hard metal (and i play hard on my set too). But when i got these, i practiced every day super hard (harder than i usually do) and all that happened was a few scratches to the taper. THESE ARE SOME GODLY STICKS!!!! I can see why Lars Ulrich used them. But i would recomend you go to Ahead's website and check to make sure that these are the sticks you want in terms of length, weight, etc. you can compare them to regular sizes just to be sure. But If you break sticks a lot, I would definitively recommend getting these. Oh and the sticks sound exactly the same wood, without all of the shock going to your hands!!!!

At first I was worried about spending $30 on a pair of drumsticks, but I've broken my fair deal throughout the day, and paying $10 a pair at the local music store, I figured alluminum was the way to go, so I bought them.
I'm used to using Zildjian DIP Hickory sticks, so these were pretty heavy, but I got used to it quick. I use them for performing, but I know that some other people have said that they just juse them for practice because they build arm strength for faster tom rolls, etc. Overall, I enjoy using these sticks and hopefully I'll still have that opinion down the road! It may also be worth noting that these are the same sticks that Lars Ulrich can be seen using in the studio on the Some Kind of Monster movie.

I love Metallica for me they are the greatest band ever. For me Fade To Black is the greatest song ever written. So being a giant Metallica fan I bought these just because they were from Lars. But these are great drumstick besides them being from Lars or anything to do with Metallica. They have incredible bounce which allow you to get great speed. They are heavier than wood sticks but you will get used to it and become a better drummer. I know I have. Oh and these thing are very well built they will last you forever unless you run them over with a semi and even then...

These are the best drumsticks I have ever had and I was glade that I also made the switch to AHEAD drum sticks because they are o much better then Vic Firth. They also Keep my cymbals muck cleaner and they keep them drop clutch in better condition then any of my sticks. So I love my Metallica drumsticks and I love AHEAD. So remember if you want anything that involves drumsticks just pic AHEAD.

These sticks last, I've played and gigged reguarly the last 3 years with these. I've broken just one in half in 3 years, and that was playing very hard and doing rimshots. You have to change the tips sometimes but thats it. They have saved me hundreds of dollars by not having to buy wood sticks.

This product was exactly as I expected. The only flaw in this purchase was that the packaging was too big for the product. I would buy from this seller again!

Bought these for my grandson the drummer. He says they are a little heavier than he's used to, but they are indestructible and play well. The tips need replacing, but the instructions include where to buy those. They may seem a little expensive, but they last so much longer than wooden sticks when used by someone who idolizes Blink 182.
