I was searching for a representative of the Classical Turkish Music to introduce my friends to Turkish music and I was very happy when I found this one. The selection is masterly-played, the songs are mostly slow, captivating and soulful. The music has a good "old" quality that takes you to the Ottoman palace and starts you to dream. Certainly a "must have" if you're willing to experience a different piece of music.

This is a 'must have' for anyone who enjoys either Turkish or Middle Eastern music. Wonderful for just listening to, or even meditating; very relaxing music. Not particularly for belly dancing, but would be appreciated by dancers for sure.

Not being familiar with classical turkish music except for the occasional belly dance track, I purchased this to experience another side of turkish music. I highly reccomend this disc, every track is enjoyable and opens a new experience to the listener.

If you're a fan of world music, especially classical Turkish music, then you need to get this CD. The music is beautiful and very relaxing. Speaking of beautiful, the cover art for this CD is just that. What a wonderful picture.
