Prem Joshua is joined on Ahir by frequent collaborator Chintan Relenberg, who helped to shape the grooves and provide rhythmic support. The music ranges from energetic and up-tempo to chilled selections that juxtapose trip-hop beats with Indian instrumentation and mellow ambience. The opening track on Ahir, "Namaskar," is a prime example of the former, featuring a whirlwind of pulsing beats, searing strings and a catchy main hook. A couple of other highlights are "Ramana" and the title track, which both display Joshua's sitar mastery.- Prem Joshua's Ahir is his seventh full-length album. I came across these guys while listening to my "Midival Punditz" station on Pandora. Instantly, I recognized a higher level of overall quality in the instrumentals and vocals of this music. The previous reviewer was exactly right in saying that these vibrations penetrate deeply. Even though most of the time I have no idea what the vocals are saying, the voices sound epic & amazing. This album in particular comes as a highly recommended legendary item.

I really like this album. I sounds soothing, yet has a great
beat to it, and rythim.
It goes into the soul.
