This review is from: Ai Du + 2 (Audio CD)
While Ai Du is taken straight from the album Talking Timbuktu, the other two songs were recorded live at a radio interview of Ali Farka Toure. Ali and Ry Cooder (presumably) perform both Diaraby and Keito on acoustic guitars. Both songs are beautiful and captivating, and are quite different from their versions on Talking Timbuktu. These two songs are unique in the Ali Farka Toure repretoire in that they do not include accompaniment on the calabash or any other type of percussion. Just Ali Farka Toure singing to the accompanyment of acoustic guitars makes these two tracks very special indeed.

Hard to find, great music Dianne Lane danced to with her young French lover while she left Gere at home. Not found on the movie soundtrack.
